Help feed hungry kiddos during their visit!  Kitchen Volunteers help to prepare snacks and meals for children and adults (working their shift).  Kitchen volunteers follow a set menu but are allowed more flexibility and creativity as they become more comfortable in their position.

If you’re looking for a fun way to help shelter dogs and/or get your fitness steps in - look no further! Come volunteer at our shelter to walk dogs! Exercise and time socializing with people is so important for our canine critters that you’d be doing an amazing service for our dogs. Please note, some of our fur babies haven’t been taught leash etiquette and may be more of a workout than others. Our shelter staff and experienced volunteers will show you the ropes and help you select the dogs right for your comfort level. Your time with the dog outside of the shelter helps us learn more about them so we can help find the best adoption match.

We’re excited to be out and about in our community! BUT, we need more help! If you’re interested in volunteering your time to help staff our booths at community events, help with pets at special adoption events, or help at fundraisers - WE NEED YOU! Please note, RELIABILITY IS A MUST. When you agree to help, we’ll be depending on you to show up and stay for the duration of the event! We depend on the kindness, love and homes of our foster parents to help us save hundreds of lives every year.  Members of our foster care program open up their homes for shelter animals.  They care for kittens or puppies until they are old enough for adoption, animals with illnesses and injuries until they are healed, and animals who need socialization or those who are not thriving in the shelter environment.  The time commitment varies upon the needs of the foster pet, but generally is between 2 weeks and 3 months. 

Fostering is a flexible, fun and rewarding volunteer experience, and requires a special person- able to invest themselves into the lives of foster pets, and let them go knowing they’ve helped save a life.  We provide all supplies foster parents need, from food and bedding to medication. While it is best to have some knowledge about animal behavior and health, we always try to match foster parents with animals whose needs are within your ability level, and we provide ongoing help and support throughout your foster experience. 

If you have your own animals, you’ll want to consider how they will adjust to having a foster pet. Some animals do very well with a temporary friend and can help socialize the foster animal. Other pets have a harder time with new animals being added to or leaving the family. You’re the best judge of your pet’s personality.  For the safety of your pets and the foster animal, it’s important to keep your pets up-to-date on vaccinations. In many cases, the foster pet will need to be isolated from your own pets, either temporarily or throughout the foster period.

Our adoptable cats reside at all three local PetSmarts, all three local PetCos and the Kitty Cantina plus we often bring dogs or puppies to these adoption centers.  These animals get scooped up by adopters and go off to start their new lives. We found homes for over 4,000 cats and dogs last year! At PetSmart and Petco, store volunteers keep the adoption areas clean and tidy, socialize the kitties, and help with adoptions.

From time to time we have senior clients who ask for help with household or gardening chores, basic handyperson-type tasks, or simple errands. For example, a senior might ask for help with light housekeeping tasks such as dusting and vacuuming, patio tidying and light gardening work, or help moving furniture (light to moderate weight, not very heavy) within their home. If you'd be up for tasks like these, please get in touch! These opportunities arise from time to time, maybe several times per year per volunteer.

SAN provides a weekly food pantry for our immunocompromised clients, people living with HIV & AIDS.  On a weekly average, we server about 50 clients.  We established this program last year after a hiatus and have not been able to get connected with 2nd Harvest due to the current crisis.  We work with 2 local non-profits to source food items, but they are even having a hard time getting enough food for their own clients, let alone helping us.  

At this time, we really do not have a need for volunteers to work with our program, but we do need access to foods, especially those rich in protein like eggs, chicken breast, oats, milk, greek yogurt, beans, peanut butter, and fresh fruit and vegetables.  

SAN does have a large chest freezer and access to multiple refrigerators and enough storage to be able to store items.

Mobius Discovery Center encourages children to jump headfirst into fun through STEAM-based exhibits. We need a group of 10-20 volunteers to help prep supplies for Superstruct -- an exhibit where guests build cars and other creations out of cardboard, tape, and straws. 

We need your help with the cardboard pieces. They come in large sheets with perforated shapes that need to be punched out. It's a fun, easy activity for groups of volunteers, plus it's a huge help to Mobius. We see an average of 1,000 visitors each week -- that's a lot of cardboard pieces!

Shifts are flexible and may occur on Mondays or Tuesdays. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. 

Overview: Produce creative, high-quality, unique images for use in print and online by capturing photos during special events and day-to-day operations at Mobius and offsite.

Responsibilities and Qualifications: Assemble and submit a photographic portfolio of activities at Mobius and offsite, obtain signed photographic releases when necessary, demonstrate advanced photographic ability by providing examples of work, must have the creativity and desire to assemble a body of work that is varied, dynamic, and interesting, must be able to stand/walk for at least 3 hours at a time, must provide own equipment, must have 3+ years of professional photography experience 

Meals on Wheels Spokane is in need of meal delivery drivers to deliver hot and or frozen meals to homebound seniors in the Spokane area. Our greatest need is for volunteers who wish to deliver in north Spokane. 

An average meal route is a 1-1.5 hour commitment. Hot meals are delivered between 11am-1pm, Monday through Friday. Background checks and valid vehicle insurance is required.

Our Volunteer Coordinator can help find a route and day(s) that work best for you. This is such a rewarding opportunity! Bring joy to a homebound seniors' day with a meal, a simple, "Hello, how are you today?", and a warm smile!

This volunteer position has an important role in providing fresh meals to our senior clients. It will help us improve the nutrition and quality of the meals we deliver.

Community Resource Navigator volunteers support IRC staff with a variety of administrative activities in our Spokane office. Volunteers may greet clients and visitors to the office and assist with check-in processes, answer and direct phone calls, forward emails to the appropriate staff member, assist with organizing files, data entry, donations recording, copying and filing, and other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Scope of Volunteer Work: Volunteer as a Youth Academic Tutor to help newcomer students build academic skills and confidence! The IRC’s Youth Program provides tutoring, mentoring, and parent support programming for students and their families.  With guidance from IRC staff, volunteers work one-on-one with students to practice English language skills, assist with homework, and facilitate educational games and activities. Students and tutors will work together to develop academic skills, including reading, math and science. Tutors support learning through empowerment, positive engagement and providing expertise on school subjects!  

Location: Tutoring sessions take place primarily in students’ homes. Accommodation can be arranged as necessary.  

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week. Later afternoon/early evening availability required. Tutors must be able to commit to at least 1 day/week.  Academic tutoring programs run through October to May during the school year or June through late August for summer programs.

Free Rein is a non-profit organization in Spokane, Washington dedicated to providing health, hope, and happiness for children and adults with special needs through equine-assisted services.

Free rein offers both adaptive riding and a military horsemanship program. 

Right now we are beginning our Spring Session (March - May) and we are in need of more volunteers to sign up and join our family!

As of now, we still need over 40 spots on our schedule filled with volunteers! Spots from Horse Leaders to Sidewalkers and Arena Assistants! 

Spring Session runs Tuesday-Thursday in the mornings and evenings, and Saturdays in the mornings.

Feed Spokane picks up food from local grocers/retailers/ food establishments.  This food is then quality checked, repackaged, stored and ultimately redistributed to local food banks.  This volunteer opportunity is great for someone looking to make a big impact on food insecurity in our area.

Once a volunteer is familiar with our organization, opportunities exist to ride along with our drivers  on our food pick up route and ultimately drive if desired. 

We have volunteers who come to the Wiener Ranch and hug dogs.  This is the easiest gig ever if you like dogs.

The time is at 10 am daily with an appointment in advance so no one gets chomped.  Send an email to schedule.  We are open with appointments on weekdays as well as weekends. 

Having folks come to the farm and hug dogs helps us get them socialized before they are placed in their new homes.  Most come inside and sit and we turn loose the hounds.  If you can't stay seated when asked or are terrified of a group of wiener dogs then this is not the volunteer job for you.

We are located on a farm northwest of Spokane and out of town.  There is no bus line to this area so you will need a car and drive yourself to visit us.

I am open for visitors at 10 am daily ONLY with an appointment in advance.  We need to have large watch dogs locked up so no one is injured.  If roads are too icy or dangerous we are also closed then as well.

Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes as dog toe nails can scratch when jumping on laps.

I am not sitting by email or phone so I need to plan my days in advance when taking dogs back and forth to the vet, etc. so please email me to make an appointment in advance.

We need a gate installed that is about 6' wide and built to match and a new ramp for crippled or injured dogs updated.  We are looking for someone with carpentry experience who has an morning or two to donate to our dog rescue.   We like working mornings before it gets too hot outside.

We also need to build a dog house for a latest guard dog to keep away coyotes at the farm.

We are located northwest of Spokane near Seven Mile and not on the bus line.

We supply the supplies and have the wood all purchased and just need a bit of expert help when we can supply the labor needed too.

We educate the public on responsible pet ownership as well as attend area pet events when we place around 150 dogs a year.  In covid 202 we still placed 96 homeless dogs and a few horses.

Dachshund Rescue NW rescues wiener dogs and we have now placed over 2500 dogs since 1991.

Do you want a volunteer opportunity that doesn't overtake your schedule? One where you are truly needed and feel useful? We only ask a minimum of 3 hours per month from  our volunteers. They can do more if they want to. Volunteers are trained to meet with low-income clients and assess their needs and our ability to assist, and also do other office tasks. Background check required. What is STAR? The mission of STAR (Storytelling, Teaching Artists, Arts Integration, and Resilience) is to provide creative education through culturally responsive frameworks, with access to the arts and technology for 3rd through 5th graders at Holmes and Garfield elementary schools. STAR creates a safe, consistent learning space with Lead Teachers and volunteers who cultivate trust, get to know participants' passions and interests, foster collaborative friendships, set the culture, and provide social-emotional learning tools that strengthen wellbeing beyond the classroom. STAR features professional Teaching Artists, designers, and innovators who guide students through projects that strengthen artistic skills, foster problem-solving, and introduce new mediums for creative expression.

STAR students love their volunteers. If you enjoy spending time with 3rd-5th graders, they want to meet you! Mentors receive training from Spark Central to help encourage and develop STAR students’ creativity and build positive, playful relationships with them. Expertise in visual arts, performing arts, entrepreneurship, and other subjects explored in the program are not required - all you need is a desire to share yourself with these cool kids!

A year of STAR is organized into three units that engage students in investigative performance arts, technology and entrepreneurship, and large-scale visual art projects. In each project, Lead Teachers, Teaching Artists, and volunteer mentors guide and support students in identifying playful, impassioned ideas and developing them into powerful, tangible expressions of student voice.

Fall project: Atmosphere. Atmosphere gives artists the ability to tell stories with their breath. During this module, artists will create art with their breath and bodies as they dance, act, sing, and play.

Winter project: Satellite. It takes a lot of creatives, scientists, and innovators to create a satellite. For Satellite, artists will use technology to create art through animation, photography, film, science and entrepreneurship.

Spring project: Constellation. All the connections that make artists stronger. During Constellation, artists will gravitate toward tactile art that builds bridges between the previous units. The understanding of motion makes our paintings stronger. Thinking in 3D makes us better sculptors. Artists can expect to make art bigger and better than ever, on and off the canvas.

Time commitment: Mentors are expected at one school (either Garfield or Holmes) from 2:45-5:15 PM for at least one day each week. This program runs Tue-Fri from October to June. We are hoping to find volunteers who are available for the entire school year, but if you are only available for one unit, that is alright, too.

For the month of January, STAR will be limited to twice a week at each school. Holmes will be run on Wednesdays and Fridays and Garfield will be run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

We serve Seniors in the neighborhoods of Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds, Brier, Woodway, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace.

Every day, the American Red Cross sees the heartbreak of people trying to cope with more intense storms, heavier rainfall, higher temperatures, stronger hurricanes and more devastating wildfires.

As more people rely on the Red Cross for help, the need for compassionate volunteers has never been greater.

Volunteers help comfort and support people who are forced from their homes due to fires, storms and other emergencies, so they don’t have to face tough times alone. Join us and turn your compassion into action by becoming a volunteer today. We are actively recruiting for these critical volunteer roles:

Shelter Support Team: During large disasters, you can support the day-to-day activities within a shelter which may include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information or other areas within a shelter. Free online training will be provided. If the need arises, volunteers are asked to commit to multiple local shifts of 4-12 hours each. For those able to travel outside of their local area, a commitment of at least 14 consecutive days, working 8- or 12-hour shifts is required.

Disaster Health Services Team: During large disasters, you can use your professional skills as a licensed healthcare provider to deliver hands on care and education to shelter residents. Free online training will be provided and can count towards nursing continuing education units. If the need arises, volunteers are asked to commit to multiple local shifts of 4-12 hours each. For those able to travel outside of their local area, a commitment of at least 10-14 consecutive days, working 8- or 12-hour shifts is required. Qualified licenses include RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, Paramedic, MD, DO, PA, NP, APRN. Only RNs have full scope of practice.

Disaster Action Team: While big hurricanes and wildfires get the most news coverage, smaller disasters are no less devastating to the families affected. Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are smaller disasters like home fires. As a Disaster Action Team volunteer, you can help comfort and support people in your community by meeting any immediate needs such as food, shelter, clothing or supplies and connecting them to long term recovery services. We supply all the training you need.

Bring hope to families when it matters most! As a Restoring Family Links Caseworker, you’ll play a vital role in reuniting loved ones separated by conflict, migration, or disaster. Every case you handle helps restore dignity and peace of mind.

BIDEWW AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM SUMMARY

After several parents engaged us to create a program that will support West African kids with their academic, life and social skills needs, in February of 2022, WAWAC finally created what we call our "BIDEWW" (STAR) After School Program. WAWAC's BIDEWW/star after-school program and homework club seeks to create a culturally appropriate fun and new learning environment that fosters social skills, and provides learning opportunities for our kids through exciting semi-structured activities such as science experiments, cooking classes, arts projects, singing, dancing, music, cinematography, storytelling and more at a culturally appropriate setting for free of charge.

Since the kids spend a lot of time at school where they learn in a structured and formal environment, the BIDEWW After School program is done in a free environment where they still learn fun stuff that they create themselves. Additional recreational activities are also held to encourage them to stay active, healthy, and connected with one another.

This is also a platform for West African kids to interact, learn from each other and build their own community. It is available to school-aged children 5 to 17 years old in Snohomish and King Counties twice a week. Through this platform, the kids of our community explore their artistic instincts through collaborative art projects. It holds significant value for our kids because it inspires them to be creatively driven at an early age. An opportunity that they don't ordinarily receive from their parents, as many West African parents deem art a "waste of time," grossly depriving kids of the possibility to explore their creativity. We pride ourselves on opening our program to a wide range of African kids tailored to their unique needs, identity, and values.

After successfully implementing the pilot Bideww After School program in Snohomish County in September 2022, WAWAC partnered with School’s Out Washington to start a similar program in King County.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The WAWAC Bideww After School Program Assistant assists the Program Director (PD) in implementing programs outside of school hours for West African children in Washington. His/her role includes:
Assisting PD with Planning, preparing, and implementing an approved curriculum that includes language studies, math, art, social/life skills, and African culture and realities.
Aiding PD with snack time/bathroom
Assisting PD to keep students' mannerisms on point.
Assisting PD with keeping track of newly enrolled students.
Oblige PD with keeping track of all necessary documents relating to the program such as incident reports, compliance forms, transportation request forms, etc.
Implementing daily lesson plans and activities that focus on developing children’s social, life and motor skills.
Study each weekly curriculum given by PD for preparedness.
Follow PD’s schedule provided and any direction given.
Coordinating with PD and assisting with UW student volunteers.
Attending meetings and capacity building training organized by WAWAC funding partners and submitting reports to PD as needed in a timely manner.
Assisting children with assignments and homework, such as reading, writing, and math.
Following and learning materials and equipment, such as books, arts and crafts supplies, stationery, and other necessary items.
Interacting with the children to provide guidance, emotional support, and motivation to complete tasks.
Engaging and meeting with PD to discuss any reports/incidents.
Assisting PD manage the Bideww WhatsApp group chat.
Maintaining an organized/safe environment and helping students learn skills that help them conduct themselves appropriately.
To aid the emotional and social-interactive growth of children, enabling them to communicate their joys as well as their frustrations appropriately.
To encourage the social, physical, and intellectual development of children who attend our after-school program.
REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are required to fill out this job application form and undergo a criminal background check. WAWAC conducts a background check through Watch and requires your details to complete the process. It can take up to 72 hours to receive the results.

SEEKING DRIVERS to help transport youth

MPower is a one-to-one mentoring program requiring a minimum of 2 interactions per month. This is a great opportunity to mentor High School Students while being more flexible with your schedule. 

Community-based mentoring relationships involve one-to-one outings and activities, doing things the Big and Little enjoy together. Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them. Bigs and Littles spend 2-4 hours, 2-4 times a month with each other for at least 18 months.

Lunch Buddies is an in-person program requiring matches to meet during the lunch period at least once per week in the school’s cafeteria. Mentors are trained and receive ongoing support from dedicated staff to troubleshoot challenges but otherwise discuss topics of interest to their mentees.  

Sustainable Connections' Food Recovery Program reduces food insecurity and addresses climate change by recovering and redistributing nutritious surplus food to neighbors in need. We need volunteers to help pick up food from restaurants and transport the food to hunger relief agencies. Sign up here!

This volunteer position has a direct impact on our resident's access to fresh groceries by picking up food donations in Kenmore and delivering them to our housing in the Central District. This position is well-suited for friends or partners who would like to volunteer together to make a difference in the greater Seattle area.

By volunteering with PHC you will be directly involved in building community and connections among residents. Many of our residents are negatively impacted by chronic mental health conditions, trauma, and homelessness. Program Volunteers are essential in providing assistance to our participants with direction from our licensed therapists and certified riding instructors. 

Over 350 volunteers are needed to help Little Bit groom and tack horses and support people with disabilities during lessons and treatments.

Program Volunteers commit to a weekly volunteer time to provide consistency for our participants. Two-hour volunteer shifts are available 8am- 8-pm, Monday - Saturday. We ask new volunteers for a six-month commitment.

Our double carport has about a half a foot of silt and mud in it.  That needs to be cleaned out. Silt gets tracked on the outside decks.  They need to be cleaned off.

There are mold concerns. That needs to be taken care of. 

Most of our walls have up to 4 ft of sheetrock and insulation removed.  That needs to be taped,replaced.  Walls textured and painted.

Flooring, Underlayment,  LVP laid, baseboards replaced.

Our deck facing the river got some damage from the flow. Some structural damage. 

We need some electrical work done (wall heaters replaced etc.)

This volunteer opportunity will assist our team to pick up, log, and put away our weekly Walmart donations; complete physical inventories and some reorganization as needed (Saturday Storage Parties per quarter); and help with pulling items for a designated neighbor in need. Minimum lifting capability of 25 lbs required.

Nativity House Shelter is 167-bed shelter serving adult men and women who are actively experiencing homelessness in Tacoma. The Nativity House Kitchen serves 3-meals a day and needs volunteers who know how to cook for a crowd.

Groups often plan meals like pancakes, casseroles, bulgogi/teriyaki, spaghetti & meatballs, hotdogs and sloppy joes.

Groups are encouraged to use ingredients available in the kitchen to build a menu and/or donate their own ingredients based on whatever they want to cook.

If groups are more comfortable serving instead of cooking, just let us know. We always need servers on the cafeteria line. 

The Nativity House Kitchen provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week, 365 days per year so there is always an opportunity to serve.

Family Housing Network (Catholic Community Services SW) runs a Safe Parking Program for families and single adults who are experiencing homelessness and are living in their vehicles. 

The site has a small "Care Closet" style clothing room where site residents can "shop" for the clothing and supplies that they need. All items are free and supplied by donations.

The Details:

Volunteers are needed 1-2 times a week to help sort donations, organize the clothing room and assist residents with shopping.

We need 1-2 people per shift and shift times are flexible.

This project is suitable for adults of all ages or teens ages 12-17 if accompanied a parent or adult.

Providing something as simple as warm gloves, thick socks and handwarmers can help protect fingers and toes from frostbite injuries. The Family Housing Network Safe Parking Site needs your help to help ensure that there are enough mittens and gloves to distribute ALL winter long.

We are asking community members and groups to help pack kits that include these winter essentials:

-Adult size gloves/ mittens (adult and kid sizes)

-Hand-warmers -

-Foot-warmers/toe-warmers

-Thick winter socks

-Hand lotion (to protect wind chapped hands)

-A kind and encouraging note

Create Space is the MAC’s family activity space. It is geared toward families with children from 1 to 12, but open for visitors of all ages. There are exhibition-related crafts available for families in this space, as well as coloring pages, books, building materials, and other educational toys. As a volunteer in Create Space, you will welcome guests of all ages into the space, offer help with activities, and direct visitors to gallery spaces. You will encourage creativity and interaction with themed activities. You will also test activities made available for guests, and suggest age-appropriate ones to visitors. With Youth Education staff oversight, the option to develop your own crafts and activities is a possibility. This position is ideal for volunteers who enjoy crafts, working with young children, and have an interest in sparking both curiosity and creativity in visitors.

The Spokane River Centennial Trail is always in need of clean-up to keep it in good condition for residents and visitors seeking recreation and active transportation.  Individuals and community groups can pick up litter, pull weeds, and sweep debris from the Trail to welcome our 2.4 million users every year.

Volunteers needed on one to two Mondays a month to call Bingo, or help with Bingo, from 1pm-3pm. You will be calling Bingo to a group of 25 seniors using a professional Bingo system which includes a casino grade ball spinner. Mainly looking for the third Monday of the month and back-up Bingo caller. 

High energy and flexible attitude is desired! 

No experience needed. Training will be provided.

Here at Sundance Circle Hippotherapy, we strive to improve the quality of life for our patients through the power and presence of the equine. Sundance Circle Hippotherapy is a team of volunteers, staff, therapists, and horses based in Sumner. We offer hippotherapy, which takes place in our covered arena on specially trained horses, as well as outdoor therapy. Horses provide a unique input to assist physical, occupational and speech therapists in providing top quality care in their specialty.

Every Thursday morning we need volunteers to transport our orders from KidVantage in Issaquah to our storage unit (also in Issaquah) where the items are sorted in prepartion for delivery to the families' homes.   A larger vehicle is a plus but we can fit a lot even into a sedan! 

Deliver essential needs to children in need - diapers, car seats, clothing, etc.   Pick up your route's orders in Issaquah and deliver to low-income refugee and immigrant families in either south King County, Seattle or the north end.   Orders are ready Thursday at noon and can be delivered anytime between then and Sunday night, even Monday if needed.  Sign up for the week/week-ends of your choice.

We are planning our next in person training group and would love to hear from you!

We have an ongoing need for everyday people to volunteer as Guardians ad Litem (GAL) to represent to the court the best interest of our children in care. There are over 200 children in Skagit county who are abandoned or victims of abuse or neglect. We need people in our community to be a voice for these children. Our next training is coming up and we would love to tell you more about how you can advocate for an abused or neglected child.

VGALs are community volunteers who are appointed by judges to advocate in court for abused and/or neglected children. When a child is in danger living at home, the Department of Children, Youth and Family (DCYF) may step in and say that the child needs to be moved to a safe environment. In order to determine what circumstances will keep the child safe, the case is brought to court where a judge will rule where the child should go.

Once a case is brought to court, the judge appoints a GAL volunteer to the child. The GAL volunteer researches the child's situation - this includes talking to the child as well as the child's parents, teachers, counselors... anyone who plays a significant role in the child's life - and then forms an educated recommendation as to what is in that child's best interests to maintain well-being and encourage safe permanency. Once the GAL volunteer determines the child's best interests, they write a report to the judge recommending a home placement (returning to their previous homes, foster care, staying with relatives...) and services to address any unique, unmet needs that the child has.

GAL volunteers spend an average of ten hours a month working on a case, though typically they spend more time at the beginning of a case than they do towards the end. Cases generally last at least a year, and we ask that each volunteer commits to remaining a volunteer as long as their case is open. Children face a constant rotation of judges, social workers, and foster homes, but all the while their GAL volunteer remains a stable and constant adult in their lives. Training is 30 hours over the course of 4 weeks.

At Garry Middle School Homework Club is Monday through Thursday 3:30pm-5:30pm. We are seeking 1-2 volunteers per day. They have about 20-30 students who attend on average each day. Any volunteers who sign up will be required to fill out a Spokane Public Schools background check. 

At North Central High School, the Homework Center meets Monday-Thursday from 2:30-4:30 pm, and they are seeking someone who can volunteer on a regular basis either weekly or bi-weekly, whichever is easier for scheduling. They are specifically looking for someone interested in supporting Chemistry who is able to come in on any of the days listed. This is high school level curriculum so it might be a bit harder to tutor if it isn't someone's area of expertise, but they would love consistent support.

The health center greeting team with Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho ensures patients are welcomed as they enter our facilities. Vetting and training processes include, but are not limited to, non-engagement tactics, how to approach patients, self- and fellow care, and more. You must be able to withstand the elements outside of clinic - heat, cold, verbal harassment, while maintaining a positive, patient-focused demeanor. Greeters deter patients from paying attention to or engaging with anti-Planned Parenthood protesters that frequent our health centers. Most importantly, this team does not engage with anti-choice protesters, always exercising our non-engagement policies.
