Help stay with an elderly resident and keep them safe. Duties include:
(a) reminding the resident not to stand up by themselves or ask a nurse/nurse aide to help when needed,
(b) following the resident when they wander around,
(c) preventing them from entering other rooms,
(d) playing crafts or listening to music with the resident (staff can provide tools if needed).

*Need to do a 2-step TB skin test provided by Kin On.

Provide Tai Chi / Qigong instruction to small groups of senior residents on wheels.

*Minimum 3-5 years of teaching/facilitating experience in Tai Chi/Qigong working with older adults on wheelchairs; Be patient and passionate.

Assist residents to enjoy art and craft.

Provide good care and maintenance on mini garden cart.

Provide fun entertainment, cultural performance, musical performance, dancing to our residents.

*Age under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Lead group activities for our residents or just hang out, including playing mahjong, exercising, writing, doing puzzles, or painting with seniors.

Sing songs in 50's to 60's. Lead our senior residents to sing along.

Technical support, equipment set-up, activity monitoring.

Lead group activities for our senior residents or just hang out, including exercising, writing, playing games, chess, mahjong, doing puzzles, black jack and/painting with seniors.

Assist residents to do exercise in exercise sessions.

Help organize various programs and activities, and build long-term goals to develop the programs of our community centers.

Provide Brain Gym/Stretching Exercise instruction to small groups of senior residents.

*Must be certified in fitness instruction, and/or hold a Clinical license; Minimum 1 year of teaching/facilitating experience in brain gym/fitness instruction field working with older adults on wheelchairs.

Help with administrative tasks and welcome guests to our Bellevue community center.

Assist with one-on-one tutoring or group technology classes - we also have opportunities to be mobile volunteers - help drive to seniors’ homes to teach basic tablet skills such as how to video chat with family and friends (schedule to be arranged).

Provide mindfulness/meditation/laughing yoga instruction to small groups of senior residents.

*Need to do 2-step TB skin test provided by Kin On. 

*Must be certified in mindfulness/meditation/laughing yoga practice, and/or hold a Clinical license; Minimum 1 year of teaching/facilitating experience in mindfulness/meditation/laughing yoga field.
