TMWG is an innovative 501(c)3 organization that leverages agreements with local and national retailers to donate large numbers of unused and often brand-new goods -- everything from food, basic necessities and disaster supplies to furniture, toys and household appliances -- to communities in need. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty, abuse, and abandonment in our community by providing hope. Our vision is to create communities where people can thrive. We served over 1.5 million families nationwide last year, including nearly 1 million in Washington State alone. In order to fulfill our mission, we partner with hundreds of other nonprofit organizations, school districts, Tribes and government agencies to reach as many people as possible. TMWG is also proud to be a WA State Eligible Training Provider. Our Warehouse Logistics Academy offers onsite and virtual training for many certifications, including Logistics Associate, OSHA 10 and Forklift Operation. We have unfortunately witnessed the exacerbation of economic hardship for many underserved communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Three-fifths of American households reported in December 2020 that they would be unable to cover a $1,000 unexpected expense without borrowing, according to Bankrate.com. Our goal is to rebuild our communities to be stronger and more resilient, one family at a time. Whether that’s putting food on the table or a gift under the tree, we want to be there whenever someone needs a helping hand.
